EQUA Mead Learning Trust

Schools

We understand that it is a big decision to join a multi academy trust. Finding the right Trust for your school is critical; it’s important to find one which shares your values, ethos and culture, and understands your school context.

At EQUA Mead Learning Trust, our schools are a family of like-minded schools who enjoy collaborating to provide mutual support, sharing best practice and constantly learning from each other. We understand the importance of schools retaining their own individual characters, to enable them to reflect their own context. We believe every child has the right to a great education and we seek to improve the life chances of all those we serve; it is our mission to give ‘Every Child, Every Chance’ of success.

We thrive on strong relationships and place wellbeing at the heart of all we do. We are open, honest and reflective, and we work together in a supportive network to improve practice with each other both inside and outside of the classroom.

Our schools benefit from

  • A determination and shared vision that puts our children and young people at the heart of all that we do
  • A dedicated and highly motivated School Improvement Team [link to About > Our team] which delivers from the middle as well as from the top. This ensures there is a focus on what matters, delivering the highest quality of teaching and learning through an aspirational, broad and balanced curriculum
  • Working together with a common goal of becoming even better
  • A focus on raising outcomes through targeted improvement planning, educational research, sharing best practice, resources and expertise
  • Central services which take the pressure away from the Headteachers and governors to ensure more time and resources are spent on their children, staff and community
  • Shared accountability in an environment of rising expectations
  • Professional development opportunities, future leader courses, coaching and middle leader development. We recognise that upskilling and investing in our staff is integral

Our growth plan

We aim to grow not only through the addition of schools into our Trust, but with investment into, and additional resourcing for, our current schools, to increase their profiles and popularity.

We are building our business traded services, decreasing our reliability on Government funding and putting more money back into our schools.

We welcome conversations with schools that share our vision, and are are interested in speaking to secondary schools with feeder primary schools that would like to join and operate as a group.
