Writing Moderation
On Wednesday 12th March, the Early Years teachers from the EQUA Mead Learning Trust came together to share successful strategies and practice that have supported children with self-regulation skills. Many wonderful ideas and strategies were shared and also successes celebrated. Following on from this we then moderated our writing judgements, where teachers discussed the writing journey of children in their class. We then put all of our writing examples into developmental stages and agreed on what examples are the early stages of writing, those that are likely to achieve end of year expectation and those that are showing this already. It was a great afternoon of collaboration and discussion.+
