EQUA Mead Learning Trust

EQUA Mead Explores London!

It was an early start on the 24th March for 40 excited children and young people as they gathered for a visit to London.  There was representation from every school within the Trust,  building on the culture of collaboration that is so important within EQUA Mead.

The first stop was the historic Tower of London which provided the opportunity to explore the world heritage site, learn about rich history and get up close to the famous Crown Jewels.   It was wonderful to see the leadership demonstrated by secondary students in support of younger pupils.

After a fascinating morning, the group made their way to the London Eye which was a new experience for most.  Despite a few anxieties everyone took part with the clear skies making the experience even more magical.  Landmarks including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the River Thames stretched out in every direction.

Before heading home ice creams were enjoyed on the London bank —a perfect way to end the day.

The visit was a huge success allowing the building of new friendships and the creation of lifetime memories.  A huge thank you to all the staff who helped along with our wonderful pupils who made EQUA Mead and their schools proud!

We hope you enjoy the pictures!
